Upcoming Committee Meetings

The daily schedule of committee meetings and their agendas is shown on the NELIS home page,
https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/NELIS/REL/79th2017.

It is also shown on the PLT home page,
https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/NELIS/REL/79th2017/Subscriber/Home

For the benefit of those who do not have a PLT account, the latest Upcoming Meetings page (below) shows the list of committee meetings and the list of  bills scheduled to be heard next week, as presented on the PLT home page on Friday night of this week.
If you do have a PLT account, you will see that it is far more convenient to look at the agenda on the PLT home page than to dig out each agenda from the NELIS home page. The LCB wants you to have a PLT account, folks!

Be aware that the schedules and agendas are subject to change. If you have a PLT account, you will receive a flood of e-mails to notify you of the changes, or you can regularly look on the NELIS or PLT home page to see the schedule for the day.

Upcoming Bills of Special Interest to Us

These pages show the list of bills that I and others have flagged as being of special interest to us. These lists are distilled from the full lists of bills in Upcoming Committee Meetings (above).
Needless to say, these are the bills that we’d comment on first.

SORRY FOLKS, THIS PART OF THE WEBSITE IS
NO LONGER BEING MAINTAINED.
I CAN’T DO IT ALONE;
THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY BILLS ON THE AGENDA EACH WEEK,
TOO MANY TO READ AND DECIDE TO
SKIP SOME AND MAKE A RECOMMENDATION ON OTHERS
(SEE Upcoming Committee Meetings, ABOVE).
IF YOU SEE ANYTHING THERE, SUBMIT YOUR COMMENTS AS SHOWN ON THE Vital Information PAGE.

Yes, the best time to kill or promote a bill is in committee, but with so many being “agendized” each week it may be more efficient for us to concentrate on those bills which have been passed out of committee with a “do pass” (see Bills Approved by Committees) and hope to sway (1) the full chamber if the bill makes it onto its agenda, then (2) again in committee if the bill is sent over to the other chamber, and then (3) again if the bill gets to the governor.

If you DO want to keep up this effort because you think it has value as an ALERT, then please help me with it. Like I said,
I can’t do it alone, not in time for each Friday Night Status Report.

Upcoming bills of special interest (week of April 10) This is the last one, and as you can see, it is already Friday of this week and I still couldn’t finish the list. It’s just too much.
